Default UV tutorial

Can some one direct me to a good tutorial to teach me UV mapping. Thanks Sorry this question probably has been asked so many times.

I believe that Philip shows how to do UV Mapping in the Tabasco Tutorial.

I hate to hijack a thread, but How do I properly uvmap a cylender?

As you can see I'm having alot of diffuculties.

Before you create the UV map, try unwelding all the points first. This should separate the parts of the map for you.

Failing that, try using the Atlas map type.

Unwelding it does fix the problem, but when I'm animating it it gets all messed up.
Is there any way that it would work if it's not unwelded?

Once you UV Map the image you should merge all the unwelded points.

Also did you add the UV Map in the Surface Editor?
