Like I say as it works with the PC and i have no Mac it makes any sort of testing on my end very difficult so i really appreciate the feedback. David |

My settings and findings concur with Buco's exactly.

Just popping in to check the status of the presets...
... and to ask a silly question: the 'purple envelope icons' on the left hand side of the forums page... I know what each means except the purple envelope with a black dot on it. What does the black dot mean? I see it on other posts as well as this one.

Black dot means you have posed in that thread at some time in the past.
No progress on the Mac downloads the entire vBulletin team can't seem to get it to work with the Mac in fact iv yet to find a way that the standard Mac can even download a file type that’s un-known to it, also it doesn’t seem to support the content description header so I can't even tell it what it is or what its filename is meant to be, the only solution would be to have everyone upload in a format the Mac likes (Zip), then have the content static and directly accessible to the web root something im not prepared to do at this time |

Explorer send the script directly to MacPerl. I don't know if this can help you but here is the default settings in IE for .pl files:

Thanks for the info but that’s part of the problem its not a .pl file you are downloading, none of the Mac browsers seem to support the content description header, iv email apple for information as to why not but im not holding my breath.
