hmmmm...i've done that, as i'm sure endorphin has also, i hope
![]() i can get the surface editor to stay on the second monitor, but not the layer, numeric, and statistics panels. i'm sure i just don't have the right combo of settings in the nvidia panel. any other ideas? [edit] well i completely uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers (only 45.23, cause i still have 98se) and now the surface editor doesn't stay on the 2nd monitor anymore. i'm kinda disappointed, because this was the main reason i shelled out for a dual out card (geforce fx 5200 128M). ![]()

98se?!?!? Are you in the dark ages? hehe Well its weard I have no problem getting any pannel to stay wherever I want. I have no idea why your pannels dont stay put.
You should upgrade to Xp pro or Win2K Pro, might fix your prob.

A word of warning - if anyone is thinking of up-grading from Win98 make sure you have all of the latest drivers at hand or you could run into compatibility problems with Win2K...........

The best way to upgrade is just to wipe your HD totally. Clean install is always the best.

... Especially when upgrading from a non-NT based OS (ie: all Windows 9x) to an NT Kernel based one (ie: NT, 2000 or XP).
I ten years of working in IT I have never seen anyone who has upgraded in that manner do it painlessly. It always works out quicker and easier to simply backup, reformat and reinstall... |
