you have a lot of computer trouble!!! well about your last question, i had the same problem before. Some guys told me to change the bios setup. but i didn't know how to do that...so i just reinstalled windows!! then it was over and it all worked perfect.

Hmm, the ATI drivers have always had a reputation for being troublesome. It's possible that you could have some vestige of an old driver kicking around...

Before you reinstall Windoze however, try the following to reset your GFX driver.

(1) Uninstall your ATI software/driver. If it asks you to reboot afterwards, don't.

(2) In Windows device manager, find your video card entry (if it exists) open the node and uninstall the device (again don't reboot)

(3) Go through the 'Install new hardware' wizard and select the 'Generic VGA' video card driver (can't remember the exact steps for this - which is why it's a little vague)...

(4) Reboot. You should now have a really nasty, slow 640x480 or 800x600 16 or 256 colour display...

(5) Install the latest ATI drivers and software and reboot if necessary...

Like any system changes though, make sure you've got a backup of all your files just in case it all goes a little Pete Tong...

Hi guys thanks for all the help, but i took the easy way out, i was looking on the nvidi website and noticed that the 1 driver they use is comptable with all there cards, so i took my card back and got a refund and bought a FX 5700 256mb card that was £30 less and i didnt even need to install anythin to make it work, it just used the same driver as my old 1,

everything is working fine now

cheers

Hi Tsunami :p

im sorry for the lack of updates ive had some much work 2 do ay Uni, well this has been on the shelve the last few weeks, my aim was to get all my other modules done for Xmas so that it left me from Dec 10th to Jan 13th to spend on nothing but this animation, and its worked out great, i only have a few things to do over Xmas for my art class and stuff, so u will see the project from the start 2 finish over the next 3weeks, i have all my models completed and am in the process of textures, ill prb have some still up of the Lander the Micro-Rover and the Rocket by this Monday evening

then you will see the project come along very rapidly, ive been planning it out well and have a clear picture of what it will look like so i should have no problems ( crosses fingers )

check back this weekend :p

if u go to my website on friday you will find a page that links to the progress of the pathfinder mission project, im making it at the moment so prob check round about friday tea time, ill have a test render of the smoke i have created for the launch scene :p

www.fraserdavie.com - 3D section - Pathfinder mission title :p

feel FREE to have a look at some of my other 2D work, it has been updated recently, im always after new crits :p

cheers
