very nice job, bullet! you may want to consider slimming her neck down just a bit -- the structure of it looks good, but it feels a little wide for her head.
Also, while the upper body and lower body are both well-proportioned, they don't seem to quite match up. An adult human usually stands about 7 heads high; yours is about 5.5. This could easily be due to the perspective settings and camera settings of your program, though, so mess with that before anything else. |

Thanks for your reply kairicc. Im not sure if i should slimming her neck. I personally think it's good right now ( the neck on the painting is to small in my opinion )
Also the second comment you gave is because of the camera angle. I've attached an image where you can see she is 7 heads big ( 7.2 actually ) maybe her proportions are a little bit off if you compare mine with the painting as seen on the attached image. But i don't think it's a problem because i don't believe everyone here on earth does have 100% good proportions. Anyway...thanks again!!! |

yay! glad to see the proportions were just the perspective :attn: I think the neck may have been part of that, too. I've had that happen to some of my work and it always drives me nuts, which is probably why it caught my attention in your work.
looks really good |

Thanks Dae, I will make them longer. I don't want them to be TO long, because i don't like it that much. But i agree they should be longer.
I've starting making new hair for her. the left picture shows an old render with how the hair was looking first. The right picture shows the new hair. It's far from finished, but i just wants to know if you think the new hair is better already. Im using the polygon-with-texture technique, and don't want to use another technique ( like using a hair-plug in ). thank you!! |

TADADAM Finally GOOD looking hair!
YEAH!!! I did it. I made good looking poly-hair. It's not done yet. But just some more polygons and it will be done.
I went almost crazy by never getting good hair. But finally it's almost done  :attn: Well, i hope you like it too so far. Tell me what you think! I also completely redid the textures and bump maps. |

Okay, i've got a small problem. I don't know exactly how to connect her tail onto the head.
I was looking for reference images on the net. But i can't find good pictures that shows a girl with a tail in the hair ( at least not a tail like mine model ). Does anyone have an image where i can see how the tail is connected? i would appreciate it! |

er... Anyway... I have a small suggestion, not sure it's ethical, but it should get the job done: Hair usually doesn't just stay in that position without some help and if the hair doesn't have to move a lot I think I have a solution -> hair pin <-. So you could make a very stilish pin and place it over the problem area. Hope it helps...

....ponytail issue aside...looks good [edit...cg's all about finding the best way to cheat as long as the end product looks good] Last edited by Warlock 279; 09-09-2005 at 08:42 PM. |
