LightWave as well as some other software, will save your settings every time you close the program. Most of the software will let you change all back to factory default.
How it cam be done with LightWave? Thank you all. Claudio

There should be a configuration file that you can delete and then it gets recereated next time you start up modeller or Lightwave. My thoughts were that it would be something like lwhub.cfg but I can't find it on my own computer! Are you using a Macintosh or PC?

There are a number of config files that you'll need to remove. They can all be found in your home drectory on the PC (not sure about the Mac version - don't have one to check).
Basically you should have: lw3.cfg - Layout config file. lwext3.cfg - Plugins config file. lwhub.cfg - Hub configuration. lwm3.cfg - Modeller configuration. Deleting all of these will set the application back to default settings (remember, you'll need to re-install all your plugins if you remove the lwext3.cfg file) Also, if you have any plugins that save their settings in external files (such as the spreadsheet manager, motion mixer, treegen, etc...) then you'll also need to remove their config files to reset them too. |

Heh - I had to do something like this on our Macs at work - every so often Lightwave would blow up with a window size that would go for miles outside the normal screen range making it impossible to work with, but yeh, I think its pretty much the same with the Macs so far as I remember. Its also a good idea to back these up once you've got Lightwave customized the way you like with all your plug ins where you want them to be etc.
