Default Front Projection question

In his Front Projection tutorial, Philip creates a "floor" and "ball", each on thieir own layer within the same object file.

Is there a reason why that technique was not done using two completely different object files? Will Front Projection only work if both "parts" are stored within the same file?

no, you can make it seperate objects if you prefer. Just keep an eye on the scales!!
