product design
hi, i'm new to lightwave the kinda thing i'm looking for is product design tutorials. Basic stuff compared with character work.

with product design it often comes down alot to surfacing and lighting to make your scene look realistic.. I dont know of any tutorials specific for product design but you might want to check out the tabasco tutorial and perhaps the Red Peppers tutorials in our Free Tutorials section.
The Stratocaster tutorial could also be of some help. good luck mate!

I think he means more modelling tutorials DigiMatt rather than surfacing.
I kinda agree with him, although a lot of techniques carry across into more man-made objects (smooth-shifting, bandsaw etc) it does require a slightly different mindset than when modelling characters. Matt Like DigiMatt said the Stratocaster tute is probably the best one on there. |
