Default Glowing street light sign

Hi,

I want to create the light effect of those trashy street signs. You know the ones, motel signs, bars things like that, how would i simulate the same 'glow' in an object?

Thanks

Well this is what i played with. You should play around with the surface editor and the glow. you can add some transparency or something else that will get it looking better but since i have not much time, this is what i did.

Hey...

So i only just remembered this, spent 5 minutes earlier today playing with the surface etc and have some ok and interesting results.

What i want tho, is a little anim of the logo/sign flickering. Can i change the glow intensity over a range of frames or would i have to have seperate objects per frame maybe?

Thanks...

No, you should be able to animate the glow intensity (click the 'E' button next to the glow intensity control to add an envelope). You'll also want to add an envelope to the luminosity of the sign too...
