I suppose it depends. Every package has its strengths and weaknesses. For modeling I would take Lightwave.

it may be avalable one day but also think of the name probs, if there was a techi at simplyphotoshop then you would have to be techi2 here - and he may never ever visit the site again

so for the sake of a 2 min sign up, it aint all that bad..

Not just names but userid's for records of uploads and downloads. It's not impossible, just bloody difficult at this point.

After simplyxsi has gone live I might put some serious thought into integrating the site user dB's

maybe you dont have to integrate it in to one db, just check each db one after the other for the login details...true things would have to be added to each db to account for cross usage (ie i download a maya tut, that needs to be recorded in my recordset)

another thing to get around the username problem:-

Techi (LW)
Techi (MAX)
Techi (XSI)

or

Techi
Simply LW
