Same Ocean / Mountain: SCENE
I had to do a new post for the image file. Look at the first post for the AVI file. I am trying to replicate this image for a movie.
Thanks a million. Ps your help and guide has paid off I am talking about Subpatch, Splines and all these things that were Japanese to me.. |

hello pixelone,
Your ocean avi file looks great, as for the mountains in the picture above the detail is low due to distance so i wouldn't really bother modelling trees or rocks. http://www.newtek.com/products/light...nts/index.html http://www.newtek.com/products/light...landscape.html The above are some links from newtek for terrain modelling that should help you. With the ocean made you will find the rest quite easy as the detail required is low. Hope this helps you at least a little. OzWOlf |

Hi there pixelone.... Hmm,, the image looks like CG,,, Hehe,,, oh well i know that the ocean can be done like that. You pro want to download Eki's pak,,, its free if you can stand the annoying messages. The seagen would get you the ocean you need. Or if you want to model it,, do remember that you want detail near the center and less detail as it goes out. Play with the surface editor and you can get it to look like that. As for the animation part you might want to try the free ocean tutorial on this site... Hmm,,, i will go and try to get you a sample render later.
