Default SasLite White hair?

Im trying to model a cactus using SasLite for the hair, but the hair always ends up dark and not the bleached white i want. Ive changed all the obvious settings, so i'm not sure whats wrong.

Id appreciate any help. Thanks.

Well off the top,,, i cant say much till i see your settings,,, but remmeber that spot light works with SasLite,, not the others,,, so you might want to light up your scene and try again.

Here are my settings. Sorry I cant post a screenshot, Paint isnt the best at editing images.

Bright and Hue Vary: 1%
Diffuse: 75%
Specular 0%
Courseness: 4.6%
Frizz: 2%
Fur Density 70%
Length: 50%

The rest are 0%.

Ive tried planting a spotlight right next to it on full brightness but this makes no difference.
