Default Lighting FX HELP

If you look you will see like the teleport station where the orbs are floating and you see that glow of light. I am trying to figure out how to create that light fx and the orbs glowing as they float up

Hi there, k i would use particals for the orbs... or you can try other methods,,,like surfacing a simple sphere... the main light there you can try volumetric lighting and then post process them if you can... i would try some large sized particals since they fuse together when near... just enable the glow and render it out.... hmm,, under image processing there,,,, sorry no lw on this machine,,,

good luck.

ok just remembered,,, i did that for a past competition here,,, i used a flat ring,,, subdivided and then emmited from that... used some volumetric lighting,,, and so on.. hope that helps..

I would go with sprites mode for fast results, slices as you choose as they are slices in depth like planes. the more the better but slower.

With hyper Voxels try setting luminosity to 500 and density to 50 start playing with that. Srtetch direction x,y or z depending the direction of movement of course amount as you choose. Hypertexture with something.

Edited to detail a bit

Default Thank you

Kumar and Naration thank you both. I got how I am going to do the base, with the disk and apply glow. Thank Kumar.

I have one more question, as far as the volumetric lighting, when I model the rings, will it change it to streaks of light automatically? Or do I need to apply glow to those as well

Ok where did I go wrong? I had to turn up side down; so it is emitting through the center as in the fable image. I enabled sprigh, however I am not getting the efects of the fable image.

Please help. I created the Vol light played with the options a bit to achieve what you see. Help.

Default Fable FX reply

Ok I changed cam angle and tweaked some more. However the end result is not coming out. I want that fog like looking glow, from fable image.

The good news is I know how to make like a beam of light now.. Which I will need to know anyways. Wow it pays to experiment.
Help Though guys, Help

Sorry for the late reply,,, was taken away by max...shh..

Ok... nice start.. ok volumetric lighting... you can texture the light also so that you get the streaks.. use gradients and maybe some hair reference pics adjusted in photoshop.. or you can use the wind filter and levels to get a clean map to use. Somehow i like to use point lights more... play with more point light combos. a ring of them with a center large point light is what i am thinking.. but you have to play around...

As for the particals hypervoxels... is the way to go,,, try the streching in y axis.... i think.. play around with the texture and gradients to get the optimum results.

Good luck,, you are on the right track.

Did you get the voxels emmitting? Are you using Viper to see the voxels? I don't get the email notifications anymore. I've been busy with something else and do pop in sometimes.
