Default Architectural Image

Hi all,

I am trying to learn (near) photorealistic architectural images.

This is my first go at one:

Room

Could you guys give me some critique on what doesn't look right and some pointers how to imrpove the image to a more realistic look?

Looking forward to you reactions.

Greets,
Tim.

I think the lighting looks superb with the porch but the inside seems to be a bit washed out or something...are you useing a refrence picture?
If you are it would help to distinguish if you posted it...

Hi AverageJoe,

I am not using a reference picture. I just had a room in my mind that I wanted to create. Because it is my first go I wanted to keep it simple.

With washed out do you mean too little shading nuances on the inside? Because that was the critique my father had on it.

Greets,
Tim.

EDIT: I have redone the inside. Looks much better now:

one thing that is not doing it for me is the picture outside the window i suggest you get rid of it its slanted for a start and the shading inside the room wouldn't be that dark if the outside was that light
but overall looking good
