Default Question Concerning Points and clean mesh

Ok, this may be a noob question, I am not sure.

I know we can select points then hit i key and align them for example to absolute zero for a clean edge to mirror with.

However, ,y question is this, is their a tool or plugin that would allow a line to be made clean even if its in a Curve.

Lets say you have a line that is in a curve but not all the points are in and are in need of attention as it may effect the smoothness of the curve. COuld we select 2 of the points that may be in good position and then using some tool bring them in a clean line but not lose the intended curve?

I hope I have made my question clear!

Useing the stretch tool you can align any two points in one of the axis windows. You might need to take a screen for an example so we can know more exactly what you mean.

Default personal teq

just use the set value button...I think in 7.5 it is under modify tab but i have [8] so i cannot be sure...you can always search for commands and set it later to a shortcut. This tool alows you to set a value (in your case 0) to an of the three axes. Good luck!

my bad...the "SET VALUE" is located under Modeler>Detail>Points>Set Value

remember after a Multiply command such as mirror you will have to merge the points to have a contiguous mesh. You can either manually do this by welding (same section) or "merge points" (again same section)

Good Luck

It was a good one!!!

I have the Manual, but admitidly I havent read through as I should. I spent the last hour or so going over it again., and lo and behold there it was as big as you please.

Guess I missed it. I found a few other basic things but powerful that I missed too!!

Oh well!!

Still think it would be great to have a Tips and Tricks forum much better than a manual anyday.

I think a tips and tricks section could easily develop into the size of the manual.
