MY Nissan
YaHoo, got it working!! I was having trouble posting my pic but I got it. Ok, this is my First time to post work here. I have been modeling Low poly for the gaming community for years now. But I descided its time to branch out to the higher poly models.
Im not that knowledgeable about Layout and rendering so forgive my ignorance as I am more into modeler but I am learning. Well Here it is, its my Nissan! I will be posting some updates soon as I am have progressed quite a bit beyond this point just havent rendered it yet. When I get back later I will do it. As you can see this is just a quick render to get a feel of the model and needed some tweaking. Some of that has been taken care of. I have remodeled the headlight area some in order to incorporate the headlight the new renders later today will show that. I am quite pleased with my approach to the model. I know there is a lot of these cars being done because of a tutorial out there, but Im not using a TUT I wanted to tackle this with my own approach. Here is an update and I will have a few more to follow shortly.
This shows more of the geometry. So far I am pleased with the outcome, but it is way early in the game just yet. I will be doing a clay render a little later. But I am some areas I want to detail. MBStudios |

Thank You! Yes I am going to model the interior as well. I am gathering photos at the moment to prepare to that end. I am not finding the detailed photos I would like of the interior, so I may have to go out and get some pics myself. Unless someone has already done that or knows of a good refference site I could go to. MBStudios |

Another update!
First One!!! As you can see this is a WIP, so the obvious areas needing tweaked are showing. I have several areas needing smoothing out. Also I am thinking of reworking the front bumpers ridge and try and pull the ridge out of it. several bandsaw ridges needing work and so on. But, still its coming along!!! Thats a good start for your car. There seams to be a lot of polys in there. Especially on the headlights inner edge. With subpatching you can get away with a lot less polys then just ramp up the sub-division later for more smoothness. Also when your subpatch is heavy its much harder to work out bumps and such because there are a lot of points to muck with.

I actually had started a lower polly version so I know I could have modeled it with less but then I could have modeled it with more Personally right now it only has around 2600 polys thats not to bad. But then again hehe before Im done its going to have much more than that LOL On my next Model I will perhaps model with less, but you are right about one thing for sure much more to deal with in smoothing but still workable.
