Default Logo HV Effects with Morph

I have seen the Microsoft Game Studios, logo intro. I am wondering how they get the many particles to fly around like a tornado, and the forming the final image which is the logo.

I know it involves morphing.

My Question: How do I get multiple particles to move and animate how I want it, and then forming my logo at the end?

Please if you could share tht information with me. I would be greatful.

Thank you..

If it involves HV's please show me how I would set it up and also how I would set up the morph target..

I wouldent know exactly how to do it but reading your post gave me an idea that might get you started. Start by forming particles in your logo shape then useing layout blow them apart with wind or gravity or whatever then after rendering the scene you could set up the frames backwards and your particles will form your logo in the animation.

sounds like it could do the trick. Actually that might just do it. Hey when you say start out by forming particles, what exactly do you mean. I have logo created alredy in lighwave. So when you say form particles? I am stouped. Please if you could explain.

And also I see the options to apply wind and hv emitters, but when I apply them I see them in the scene, when I render they do nothing.. I don't even see them with VIPER viewer.

I believe for Emittors like wind and rain you need a starting time and an ending time.
My 2 cents anyway.

Humm probbly a few ways of doing it. You could fill your logo with points useing point spray then just deleat all the points outside the logo useing a boleen. You could also setup your logo letter's as particle emmiters.

Yes, I'd be tempted to try setting the logo letters as particle emitters, then simply perform a 100% dissolve on them over a short period of time - just need to make sure that the birth rate for particles is extremely fast, and this should work like a charm...

thank you all. Well I would upload the movie, but I have to reduce the file some. Right now with 400 frames it is 20mb. I figured out how to enable the Hv's so I can see them, thanks to you guys.. The only probelm is the particles seem roundish, like little tiny balls clustered. don't get me wrong it is cool as hell, and the move like a tornado in a swirling pattern. I just want to look more realistic..

I will upload video, and I know I need to just play with settings - but any ideas or pointer would help..
