Might seem dumb but I need help...again.
heh, This program has humbled me more than any other one I've ever used. :-/
How to I get animation playback in the Layout to move normaly instead of hyper fast? I have a REALLY big scene with tons of stuff moving around and rendering it over and over again is useless for tweaking...and viper is too slow. I just need the animation bar to play at 60 frames a second instead of what seems like 600 frames a second.

I think the only reason it seems like it's going so fast is because you have it playing at 60fps. Normally all TV media and Movies run between 30-35fps. I may be wrong about the whole "too fast" thing and then again i've never used 60fps before. Not too much help but that's my 2 cents.

also, you might want to make sure 'Play at Exact Rate' is checked, which will force the playback to be at the actual speed of the scene.

Ok that is probably my problem...where is that checkbox located?
//edit: Nevermind I found it. Thanks, that's EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Ok so i was wrong
Question: What's the difference in an animation if it's 60fps or 30fps?

Absolutely none really if its been keyed at that same rate. (OK, it should look a little smoother, but your eyes won't be able to resolve the difference anyway). If however, you've keyed at 30fps and then playback at 60fps your movements will all seem to be twice as fast.
