You could add some Depth of Field and soften those hard shadows a bit. It currently looks very 3d and raytraced.

I agree with the shadows. Try to give them soft edges.

did you used radiosity?

EDIT: i think you allready noticed this by yourself. but some of the textures are streched.

I agrre with the two previous, but also try and bring down the ambient lighting, also put a light source outside your paper wall.

Make the paper slightly transparent play about with the texturing of the paper. Just put a picture of a japanese garden as a background, needs to be high resolution though.

Other than that lol, it looks good just a few tweeks and you have a great still life.

First try another camera angle... i usually,,, render out many times in different camera angels before i decide which one i really like.

As far as you model,, looks too clean and sharp.. so do a rounder or manually round off edges.

As far as your textures, dirty it up a bit,,, slap on some proced... with a low opacity,, and see it do wonders.

As far as your lighting,,, make it work for you,,, think how to give it some zap,,, volumectric options,,, or do some reading on realistic lighting... take it a little further.

Good Luck,
Kumar
