Sorry Sharp, but I'm afraid that Lemmings are out as they've already appeared in a 3D game - check out the link below:

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/puzzle/3d...?q=lemmings+3d

and from the rules:

For this challenge, choose a video game character from the early days of games (SNES, NES, Genesis, etc...) and redesign a modern version of them! Don't choose a character that has appeared in 3D before. For example, characters like Mario or Simon Belmont (whip guy from Castlevania) are inelligible because, while they debuted on the NES as a sprite, they have appeared all the way up to the GC in full 3D.

i miss my lemmings anyway i decided upon another game.

damn searching for a good old character brings back memorys of old games.

going to do danger dogg.

also i think that 3d lemmings is sprite based like the original doom.

Yes, I agree regarding the "3D" lemmings. They're sprites. If you'd like to still do lemmings, that's fine.

Danger dog rocks, long time since I seen that one  .

Are you sticking with him, or going back to Lemmings (which also rock, but just not as much as danger dog)
Cause I might also do danger dog (if I find the time)

This would be in maya. so no problem either way :p

I agree with you that the lemmings are probably harder to "update" than danger dog. Can't wait to see some progress posts!
