Exclamation Making Fire

I was trying to make fire the other day through the dynamics selection but I cannot get it to look like real fire. Can anyone please give steps that would make it look like real fire, the color and stuff and also the shape. Please help

here's an alternative way to create fire....by using volumetric lights, i think it looks pretty real.

fire tutorial from newtek

not sure if this is what you are after, but hope this helps

If this a situation where you would use a commercial plug-in, there is a great one called Dynamite that does really good fire. I think it cost $100 and I can't remember the website offhand but you should be able to find it at Flay.com.
