Simply3dWorld merger
I got an email asking for a vote if we wanted to merge SimplyMax and SimplyMaya to make Simply3dWorld. My question is, there was no mention of SimplyLightWave, so I'm guessing that's not a good thing for LightWave users here? What's going on?

Well the number of hits and legitimate posts we get here is few and far between. My guess is that a merger would be a good thing in the long run and probably make the admin job a bit easier for David and Tubby rather than having to deal with all these separate entities.

Simplylightwave and SimplyMax user's will also be getting a newsletter explaining this in the next few days.
Everyone can have their say, nothing yet has been decided. We want feedback on the idea. The new site (if it goes ahead) will still carry all the tutorials for each current site and separate forums for each 3d packages as well global forums. It will also allow us to provide tutorials for other 3d packages XSI etc plus some for Photoshop etc without creating yet more sites. Things like points will be global no more moving points site to site. Also as pointed out Admin of the sites should be easier. We believe this global community of 3d artists is the way to go. Tubby

i've been to lots of other web sites that have all the big 3d programs listed with tuts, vids & all the rest available to download and at all these site lightwave is slowly ignored & not updated.
i see the same thing will happen here if these web sites merge dont get me wrong in theory it sounds good the admin would be easier but in practice it dosnt work in the long run. i voted NO but if they do merge all i see for the future is looking for a new lightwave site to signup with i hope this will not happen - this is a great web site one of the best i've seen - i think the way its set up work perfectly, i see no need for change.
