Hi there. Just come on to the forum. I wonder if any of you out there could steer me on to a good source of Character modeling, (texturing/rigging/animation) tutorials. Any leads or thoughts would be amazing

Personally, I would spring for the books by Johnny Gorden:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/LightWave-Ca...0391783&sr=8-3

That will take you through the basics of cartoon character modelling, rigging and anim - go for the first book first, work your way through it and see how far you go.

Also the fishy modelling tutorial here is pretty good in terms of character creation.

This wil get you started. If you're starting out with Lightwave, then its best to learn the toolset first. After which, if you're looking at modelling practices then you could, in some ways, use tutorials for different pieces of software. CG packages aren't usually so different that you can't do one thing in one that you can do with another, particularly when it comes to basic modelling.

As Mark would say, Dan Ablan's Inside Lightwave book is usually a good starting point.
