This is my first post here. I just wanted to show my take on the free stormy ocean Tutorial. All of Philip's tutorial are really easy to follow. I'm starting the Fishy rigging tutorials next.

Welcome to the forums! Nice rendition of the stormy ocean tutorial you have there - I never followed it myself and I can't remember ever seeing the end result of it, so thanks for posting it! It looks a lot better than the original still image from the tutorial. Best of luck with the fishy tutorials - I certainly learned a lot from them. |

An excellent start. Might I suggest pitching and rolling the camera to simulate the view at sea? (It looks like it was shot from a pier.) Also, I'd add more sub-division for the waves, since they seem too wide. Real waves in a sea storm are wide at the base and more narrow (wind-whipped) at the top. The lightning is a nice touch!
