Talking help about character and organic modeling

hello from greece
i am new to lightwave and i would like some recommendations about some good modeling techniques for organic modeling like humans or cars
what is the best approach for a beginner?spline modeling or polygon modeling?
also if you know any good books, videos or web pages with tutorials let me know
i really want to know lightwave but i have to start from modeling right?
i know the interface but nothing more
in the past i have tried a couple of books like inside ligthwave 3d 7.0 from dan ablan but i found the modeling chapter of the head a little confusing
thanks

sorry for my english

Sounds to me like you missed the main section of this very web page.

Check out the Free Training section. There are plenty of free videos to get you on your feet.

I don`t want to butt in this discussion, that's not my pigeon, but plz do not write in the posts of others. This could cause some misunderstanding,it`s not very concise and s.o. could interpret it as a misuse of power. I don`t wanna make an assault upon so, so I hope you don`t missunderstand me.
