There are lots of excellent tutorials here, but as a newbie, I would be REALLY grateful for any tutorials in Layout for LW 9.6.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the late reply. There's a lot of good tutorials on the site for learning layout as well, they are in the modeling section though as they're complete projects covering modeler as well.

For 9.6 specifically you have "The Product Shot" http://www.simplylightwave.com/movie...tml?tut_id=560 and "The Toy Car" http://www.simplylightwave.com/movie...ml?tut_id=563. These two tutorials will take you through the process of modeling followed by texturing, lighting and rendering in layout and you'd learn a lot from them.

For "The Product Shot" it's included in "The Photo Bundle" http://www.simplylightwave.com/movie...tml?tut_id=566 as well together with "HDR Glass" and "Shiny Metal". These two are done in earlier versions but you shouldn't have any problems following them in 9.6.

Most tutorials in the modeling section here will cover both modeler and layout, David Mitchell is a great lighting artist and as this is the field he specializes in you can learn a lot from his tutorials. We're working at new content at the moment as well and updating the site in the same way as Simply Maya, so more to come and a better site

I think this answers the question from the other thread as well, and I wish you the best of luck with learning layout in addition to modeler.

Thanks so much for your help!! I've just upgraded to LW10. I've learnt loads about Modeller though the tutorials on this site, and need to crack on with layout too.
