Great work. It's quite impressive.
I think you might have went a bit overboard with lens flares but none the less it's very good. |

next summer ill prob add some stuff 2 it, i had to change some scene from what i was aiming for just so it would render in time, the scene i originally had for the launch scene was estimated at 400hrs to render, but i will deffinatly pay a render farm to get that stuff done for my showreel :p once again, thx for the comments ![]() |

Check out www.respower.com for getting your renders farmed out - totally automated, and reasonably cheap too...

Wow,, great stuff. Love the particals, but have to agree with Mark on the getting darker and maybe more sprayed out at the end... How many particals,,,,? How was the render time...

Hey Davie:
Just checked out your Mission to Mars clip. Nicely done. The flare could uses some toning down though. Regardless though great job. Keep up the good work. Greg |

i like it davie. great work. I agree the lensflare looks a bit out of place. i especially liked the ending when those 3 things are moving.
waiting for your new project now ![]() |

cheers, guys. personally i really like the flares for the rocket and burn-up scene, are alot of u not to keen on the flare when the lander opens ? if so i think i might take it out, it prob would look better without it.
buy the way im making my board the now aswell, and i want to fade a full render into a wireframe, so that ppl can see the construction involved in the project, how do i make this in photoshop ? :p cheers |

just have two layers. 1 layer with the render and the second layer with the wireframe ( make sure the render-layer is above the wireframe-layer ) then simply grab the erase tool with a soft edge brush selected and erase some parts of the render-layer.
hope this helps |

You'll need two complete shots. The final render and a wireframe.
You place the wireframe on the bottom layer and the final render on the top layer. Then you select the top layer, add a mask then select the mask and fill it with a black to white gradient. |
