Head and eye progress shot. The eye lids were made with splines and i haven't yet joined it to the skull yet so its abit messy around the eye atm. But i think it will look pretty good once it is joined on.
Oh and i have tried to see the model that was mentioned on the maya site but i do not have access there. Do i need to join that one as well?
Thx.

looking good...only 2 comments on the texture!!
1. i think the texture is to green!! maybe make it a little bit darker!! or give it a blue tint!!!
2. the texture repeats to much!! maybe give it some darker and lighter parts!! i forgot the words to explain this but i hope you understand me!!

Thx for the comments i was thinking more of a blue tint as well bullet and i need to define more surfaces to break up the repetition, but like speedy said there is still lots of time. I have a few different skin textures i am working on and i will post some different shots after i have finished fixing all the errors, should be sometime next year lol

and another texture test. This one i feel has alot more realistic feel to it, but again the base colour looks like it would be best suited to a land animal, but anyway heres the pic.

looking good but i think the eyesockets need work and the horns at the back of the head, i like the bumps you have on the head sort of remind me of my dragons head i had for the june competition, good work though

Thx for the comments spike, the eyes have still not been attached to the head so i have abit of work to go there but the "horns" are more like um whats the word, antennas and are meant to be floppyish. but as i continue work on the head they will no dount get a revamp.
