haha Ours TOO! Well i'll write this in a hurry since i have to be in class in about 6 min. but, my little man is supposed to jump out of the screen onto a keyboard, and then run a step or two across the desk and jump onto the mouse and the mouse slides, and then he jumps off the mouse into the other monitor which will includes some sort of beach scene or something. its going to take quite a bit to get it to look the way i want, and ungodly render times lol. i'll write more when i have more time, and i'll definitley try your lighting ideas!! thanks again!

i'm mainly having problems smooth shifting the buttons out and making a tiny gap between the sliver and the blue part to add the little detail of being real. any help would be greatly appreciated.

It might help if you model the button, top section and bottom section as separate pieces of geometry. Then you could use extend or bandsaw to add an extra edge loop and then stretch or drag the points inwards to give it the seam. Using smooth shift should work too you just have to make sure you get those edgeloops very close together to define the seams.

Any suggestions??? i know i still need to clutter it with more stuff...what other stuff would look good?? i know a stucco texture on the wall would make it look a little more appealing, but i'm having difficulties with it

nice work, getting better with every render. i think u should maybe add coke marks on the table, small black/brown round strains as if the can has spilt, these we thing just help make the scene for real, usually CG is a dead give-away, because everything is perfect, look at ur room, and then were there are corners, these usually gather dust and dirt, i small gradient will help create these small illusions, give it a try, u will be amazed at the difference
