What surface settings are you using? The metal looks pretty nice man.

hey, surface for the last one i render was just a:

Low disffuse
low gloss around 10 %
med Spec about 50 %
high reflection with about 75%
a micro bumpmap

All light using a HDRI aswell for the refection. It was only a qucik surface as well,

Ok here a qucik update. I tweeked the inside of the bit where teh bullets go, and will be adding the mechanisum in later. I have also added teh saftey.

what ya think?

Lookin good man, though with all those SubD's the poly count could go sky high!

I'm guessing the HDR lighting is what's boosting your sirface looks. Alas in the context of my Desert Eagle being used in FMV for a game, HDR lighting isn't even an option. Ahh well.

Indeed it is! Some really nice modelling here, the lines look really good and not the kind of slap dash efforts that I would come up with.

K did the grip kindof, need to add a bit more detail to it and also sort out the intersections

another update, i cant seem to find any good clear refernces of this part of the gun so iv done the best i can with very limted/blurred refrences images. Anyways whta ya think?

If anyone has a clear image of this part send it me please or post it up, Thx

Ok iv finshed the modeling more a less, just need to tweek it, then onto surfacing it.

Iv gotta link it because it its a high res image

im not sure how i should surface its (or ware to start) so if anyone has any advice on surfacing and texturing it?

Seeing as i was having trouble surfacing it i decided to add more detail to it
