The prices seems fair. I just have one question.. out of these say 35 pages.. How much of that is going towards advertising? And if you are going to have advertising.. how much is an ad going to run for?

The idea of this magazine is causing me to grin uncontrollably... you can count me in, I'll buy a copy as soon as it's available (any chance of pre-ordering?).

lol. I hate it when grown men cry.

I don't think Kevin needs any convincing. He's going to do it. Its just going to take time. Putting a mag together is no small process. Between getting the material, which in itself is a big job, then putting it together, meaning top page layout, then scheduling with a printer and going to presses, even for a short run, its going to take some real time.

So don't lose any sleep over it. I'm looking forward to it as much as you are.

Interesting idea. A few questions...

What would be in the mag which would not be on the Simply sites? By that I mean, would we need to buy the mag if we already come here?

Will it have content that was not released on the Simply sites? That would seem like a waste of your own efforts, to limit which tuts go where...

Personally I come here for LW knowledge. To some extent I resent buying mags which have a load of content I don't want to read - so the maya tutorials would be a turn-off for me. The Photoshop stuff might sometimes be useful, I know that package well, but someone always has a new angle on something and its good to see those

What is the goal of the mag? It might be a great way to raise the profile of the sites - if people see the mag in shops and then visit the sites.

Well i would wish a LW only mag,,,, but guess thats really difficult,,, as they need more content developers and support. But a lightwave only exclusive issue is a suggestion from me.
