Its been a while since my last post but I have been working on the turtles. I thought id show this progress, its basically my first Normal Map job. Just been learning some techniques and how to apply it. In the shot ive shown you what the turtle skin texture is like on the real toy and im trying to copy it so mine is like that.. although its plastic..it has a slight bumpy texture to it. So ignore the eyeband and the lighting in this shot, this is more of a test to get the bump texture right. I'm fairly happy with it for a first attempt but may tweek it some more. Any other comments and crits welcome. Cheers.

That's looking pretty cool for a first pass. Maybe modulate the bump layer a little with a slightly larger scale bump overlay and up the spec/glossiness and I think you'll have a killer match for the original.

Got a few days off work so I could put some time in on this in the next few days. Its not much but I thought I'd show you all a quick render of the stand that these toys come with. Each turtle comes with a stand (either a path/sidewalk or road section) that can all clip together to create a full scene. I still need to model a lampost and a fire hydron and little bits of debris.

Just rigged Michaelangelo's Knunchucks and did a quick test in layout to make sure the bones move the links in the chain ok.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm doing my best and glad you like it

Quick question. I've got all 4 turtles made, rigged and textured all to stand on the platform but now im just wondering, do you think I should just have 1 chosen turtle or all 4 of them together?
