Allrighty then, I've just decided to change my entry. I'll be scrapping the idea of the mixed, wierd stegosaurus and going after a machine-powered Velociraptor! Here's a little pic. showing my progress... i'm just building as i go along.
And i've already started on some very rusty and brown textures... using PHOTOSHOP CS!!! (b. day gift)! I was still sitting on 5.0 till now. I'm ready to start fresh and buff up some of my skills! |

Thank you s2-Speedy! Puppet actually cancelled his cyborg model and started the FFX one.
Anyhoo, 3 hrs of hard and gruelling work in modeller later... :tired: I just discovered the rail extrude and rail clone commands. They are sooo USEFULL!!!! very good for making pipes and wires! And radiosity is so much faster with my new computer, i guess i'm more exitedly creating stuff cause of it. lol! |

here, i just compiled all the pieces together... tell me what u think. I modified the leg to look more raptor-like with the double joints close to the heel.
And, the total poly count is.... 9,768. probably the highest poly model ever created by, moi. Last edited by Zeeman; 04-09-2004 at 05:10 PM. |

That looks pretty cool man, I don't see any problems.
I have to agree with speedy on this, reminds me of I, robot what I think would add to it ( note: you don't have to listen to me ) is if you put like a motor or some gears or somthing inside the chest, but that's just my thought, looks good either way. |

got the head done this morning, i just blew right past the 10,000 poly line and i can notice my computer struggling with it. Although its pulling along well! Now, i'll just stick an eye and maybe some teeth in there, or maybe not in there or maybe not... and then go along fixing some minor errors and then comes the TEXTURING!!!
