second is some trees in the pic, now i did not model these trees i downloaded them somewhere so if thats against the rules just tell me and i will take them away. The new sky has taken away the rim of light that was just above the horizon oh well.

This is really coming together well. I'm not sure about whether the trees will be against the rules (MIKE?) but if they are, then look at the LScripts download section of the site for a nifty little lscript that will do some of the job for you (you can also check out Phils grassy knoll tutorial for some pointers on how to make the trees look realistic too).

the trees look good Seeing as to how its a swamp scene, the trees fit in. Use TreeCage i think it comes with LW or just download it from Flay.com to make some bare-looking (without leaves) trees for the eerie swamp look, if thats what ur aiming for.

and maybe add a few low polly fish in the distance or some other kind of wildlife like a dragon fly.

and now i have modelled a volcano. It has a spotlight inside to emulate the lava glow. I haven't tried to use smoke effects before but i think it would look great coming out of the volcano. heres a shot of the volcano.

You might also want to look at putting some distance fog into the scene for some added realism as the Volcano looks too well defined at the moment

nice fish you added in there...i like it!! i also like the vulcano idea.
but, ( sorry ) i suggest to make it a bit broader ( see attached image, hope you dont mind i used your image ). i suggest this because the vulcano will more overflow with the rest of the picture!!! its sticking out a bit now at the moment!! i hope you see my point |

i agree with bullet to make the volcano a little wider, cause the volcano looks like a little hill at the moment. Try putting some dark patchy clouds in the sky, it might add to the scene.
U could also try putting a deformation map on the water, will add to realism aswell, its too smooth and calm, or maybe u want it that way...? Good job so far! Last edited by Zeeman; 28-08-2004 at 01:59 PM. |

Thanks bullet i agreed with your idea and now it looks much better! so thx. I have put some particle effects in the scene as well for the smoke and a fog to make the volcanos look further away. Tell me what you think. thx
