couple of questions from newbie
Hello!
I'm verry new to LW, and althought as far as I have tryed it, I prefer maya, but LW also seems to be ok. Anyway, since I'm a noob, I will post some questions in this thread, so I don't open new one for every question I have. My first would be: In Layout, how would I snap Null to the bone? And How would I make so that when I rotate null, I also rotate some bone? Last edited by Sil-Valeor; 28-10-2006 at 01:13 AM. |

To snap a null to a bone, you have to uncheck "Parent in Place" which is located on the Options panel. Then parent the null to the bone. The null's pivot point will move to the bone's pivot point.
To then have the bone move when the null is moved, re-check the Parent in Place, un-parent the null from the bone, then parent the bone to the null. Hope this helps.

Goes wierd how? Need more info to go on. Either describe in detail what's happening or attach a screenshot.

oK, it works now. Thougth IK on arms doesn't works in every pose like I would like, sometimes it bends in wrong direction. What is important when you're setting up ik?
Also, How would I increase texture quality in the view port? because in the viewport, the texture is really low res, I would like too increase it, butwhow do I do that? |

Check this thread for that same problem with IK.
http://forum.simplylightwave.com/sho...&threadid=4823 In the Display Options panel in Layout you can control how much or how little the OpenGL functions.
