Lightwave to Flash
I'm not sure where to post this so this is as good a place as any...
I recently bought the Swift 3D plugin for Lightwave and I'm attempting my first model render to Flash. The final product I want is a model that the user can spin (left to right) and pitch (top to bottom). My question is how do I need to set the cameras in LW so that when rendered to SWFT it'll achieve this (with the necessary scripting, of course)? Does it require rendering a camera for the spin and a camera for the pitch? Thanks Siko

Man, I am on the wrong computer or I could give you the perfect like where they talk all about that. I don't even know how to point you there. Try searching the web, long and hard, its out there... I know it. You may try flashtools first and see if they have any links.... but it will probably come down to a good old fashioned search.
Big time sorry man. |

I've Swift plug, use it tons on our sites: Sounds like you output all the files for each spin axis, then use rollovers to tell target to play etc.
Or just pay no attention to me

My question will be,,, why not use the quicktime vr? it can do what you want. Then import it and publish in flash.... Or just quicktime alone... Thats my 2 cents worth.

I hear that kumar. But Im thinking he may want to embed it in the site more than a standalone VR.

lightwave to flash
Chrispo was correct in the method...render each camera for spin and pitch then use scripting in Flash. Haven't done it yet but that's the word. He's also correct in that I want to embed it in the site and make parts clickable. The VRML worked good but requires a VR browser. That's just one more possible issue and not a road we want to go down. Thanks all.
