Moving on down
Having completed the head (from an earlier thread), I've decided to move down the body. The neck and chest are still being worked on. Next up are the pectorals and the back.
Anatomy isn't my strong point, so if any of you see something wrong, please let me know. I'll post updates with every significant addition to the mesh. The look of these renders was achieved in Photoshop, using a plugin called Melancholytron by Flaming Pear. It's really good at creating "moody" images. The actual lighting is a rig that can be found on the content CD. I just added a backlight to it. The model is progressing steadily. I hope the chest/arm area is the most difficult, because I don't know if I can handle much more complex features ... damn this is tough. I'm going to model the arms in the "crucifix" pose, with the palms facing down. Should I consider a different pose, or is this the preferred one? It certainly looks the easiest route to take.
