Default Interior WIPs

Hi guys,
haven't had much time to cruise the forums lately

Here is an incomplete interior catalogue shot I'm working on. Rendered in LW 8.2.1 and Fprime 1.5.

Here is my maxwell render of the same scene. I can't seem to get the hang of the materials yet although some of the images by octagon are amazing so it can be done:o

Fprime is much faster but not as realistic. Horses for courses and each will serve it's own purpose I guess.

Here's another from an unrelated project. Rendered in Fprime 1.5

Oh and before anyone comments on it being too clean, this is the NASA building in the late 60's when even the dust was polished!

I like your work but it seems quite simulated, I think maybe if your going for realism you need to dirty things up.

The glass on the table doesnt look right to me I think it might need a slight refraction.

This stuff is really good, but it reminds me or crime scene reconstructions.

That actually sounds harsher than I mean. lol

Simple: thanks I think LOL.
Most of these shots have nothing more than colour maps at this stage. No bump or diffuse or spec.
That's probably what gives you the impression and I agree.

As for dirtying things up, that's generally a no-no for catalogues and such. People have plenty of time to see things dirty after they've bought them
