Default For Kevin -->

Kevin, I asked this question on the SM boards but there currently down so i cant see the reply [if there was one?] so i'm posting it here.

Anyway, here it is. I need to create a two-coloured line effect similar to the one you did on the new SM banner. Is there an easy way to do it on in PS cos it would take ages to do it manually.

Here the pic i'm refering to as a reminder.

btw, great job on the new SM site. When will the forums be back up

If you mean the alternating gray/black lines on the right, the easy way to do that is to draw one of each line, zoom in and marquee a section of the 2 lines so it would be repeatable. If you make each line 1 pixel high then you would select 2 pixels high. Width doesn't matter. You could do 2 pixels by 2 pixels. Then set the selection as a pattern. You can now fill the full screen with the lines if you want. One thing to remember when setting patterns is that PS pays no attention to layers when you do it, so turn off any layers you don't want included.
