Angry Beginner with a goal

I'm not known to my patience. Well I can draw a bopx or a cube but I need to draw a washbasin of a quite peculiar desing and I don't know how to get started. Well the palte on the wall is ok, but the curved form and the placement of it. Here I give up. Can't I draw it with the pentool and extrude it? Can I offset lines??

Help. Please, someone.

Hi Medusa,

Splines would do the trick, but since it doesnt look very complex in shape you could probably just make a plain box with a few segments and then shape it in the desired shape.

Hope it helps, if not.. just let us know and we/I will try and explain better.

Cheers

This looks to me like it would be an easy job for subpatch working. Would do the job I guess. Well thats the way I should do it.
I would start with a box, use bandsaw a few times in every direction. Then hit TAB en make the curved form by moving the points untill I get a good looking washbasin. Group these polys that need to form the corved object and give it a name so it comes in the details tab in the tab "parts" so you can hit TAB for only those polys and the rest stays normal flat polys. Then make the back of the wash basin and the left side.
I guess that would be an easy way to do it. It would be my choice, but I'm a beginner and can be wrong too.
I hope I could help you with this??

Sounds really good Philip!
I think itīs very useful to learn how to model such things.

You really seem to be a "tutorial production machine" , but thatīs the best which could happen to us tutehungry newbies

I would probably also do it with a subpatched box, but there is no need in using the bandsaw tool, when you make the box, just choose how many segmants you want, or, just use the knife tool since you don't need segmants everywhere.

Heres a quick example I did..
Its basically just made up of 3 boxes which are formed in the correct shape and then metaformed.

Hi Guys
You're great.
Making it a tutorial would be verrry nice, but I'll start out here.

I do find it quite hard to just sit down and create a monster using a tutorial. It's a lot more motivating when you have a purpose.

Tkanks again!!!
