Exclamation Almost Done Gir, Need Help On Bones

i've created this model, i've added all the bones, named them and parented them, this is my first full character model, im pretty new to the 3D world until now i've just been making cups, and stuff.
i made him in about 3 hours (which i know is a long time but again im new)

my problem is, when i move the bones around they go all wonkey, i cant figure out why? i've linked to an .rar file if anyone can look at my file and tell me what i did wrong i'd be greatly appreciated.

Download The Model & Scene

Thanks!

btw, one of the main problems im having with the bones is, his head and legs are not attached to the body, i cant figure out why when i move them the body's shape changes? its annoying, and when i turn the head for example it literally deforms, the eyes go all wonky and smooshed and stuff? it just wont rotate?

sorry for being so bad at this, its my first character set up. never done this before. im not gods like all of you LOL

Oh,,, a common problem... you might want to do weight maps and apply them to the respective bones. Just do a 100 percent one cause dont think you want deformation. You will need to do it to the different parts of the body and apply them to the respective bones. Hmm he looks like Zar from Invader Zim... Hehe

Download Philips character rigging tutorial from the video training section of the site here. This should give you enough information to get going with.
