Question need blueprints....

Hello,.. I'm a newbie trying to figure out how to model my car. I haven't been able to find any blueprints. (like the ones in the Mclaren tutorial) ..or anything even close to it.

I have tried taking some pics,.. but the car is black and I can't get any details to show up in the pics,.. not to mention I'm not sure how I'd get a pic of the top of my car.

Any help or advice will be appreciated! Thanks!!

oh,.. in case you're wordering,.. it's a 2003 Mercury Marauder.

two really, really good places to search for blueprints
http://www.onnovanbraam.com/
http://www.suurland.com/

and it seems like onnovanbraam decided to split himself so he has another site with blueprints named:
http://www.blueprints.onnovanbraam.com/

If you can get your hands on the service manual for your car, you should be able to find good blueprint-like images.

if you really wanted to shoot for the stars ummm...call the mercury designers and whoever else is involved and ask them for blueprints. Like i said it's a small chance but it happens.

Thanks for the idea R4,.. sheesh,.. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I actually met the Marauder Program Manager last year at a rally.

hmm,.. I think I can find his e-mail.

I've started modeling it already based on the McLaren tut, but it doesn't look all that great 'cause I only have my photos to go off of. :p Man,.. that perpective is a bastage! LOL

well,. I'm off to find that guys e-mail.

I'll post some WIP pics once it starts to look like a car!

Thanks...
