Hi
I think that this is something that you have to put up with when making 3D text in lightwave. I have had a few problems too, and had to go in a manually flip/remove polys to sort it out. Sorry couldn't be more help, there is a tut on newtek.com for 3D text which may be some help. http://www.newtek.com/products/light...ext/index.html Good luck |

I believe it has something to do with point ordering. Lightwave is very sensitive when it comes to the order of points (especially in polys that have >4 points) and seems to get a little confused on occasion. I wouldn't worry about it though. It won't show in the final render.

If you don't like looking at it, you can select the 2 points at the inside corners of the T, then switch to Polygon mode and select the offending polygon, then hit Ctrl-L to subdivide the polygon and the problem should go away.

hi
also if extruding try the "Poz Extender" plugin from www.flay.com i found it helps save time when doing some extending / extruding. (http://www.flay.com/GetDetail.CFM?ID=1610)

I don't think it will show on the render...but if it's bothering you, you could always model it (I meen since it's only a T)

I find this nearly always caused by unmerged points, Hit the M key before extruding.
