Finally got the drawing down here is my character - hes a rhino and the sport he will be playin is dodgeball . i got a few ideas for final pose :-
A) Ball in the groin B) Rhino running away with loads of balls comin at him with a scared look on his face. OR C) rhino sitting down after a game with bruises and bandages and a burst ball on his horn. |

Hey Speedy! Great concept art, love it! Good start on the model as well. My vote is for number 3. A rhino that's all beat up is a cool idea. Can't wait to see the finals.

I'll see Mike's awesome and raise you a superb!!!
Absolutely love the concept ... although it worries me the thought processes to get a Rhino associated with Dodgeball :eeek2: Can't wait to see the finished work ... good luck! |

cheers for the comments guys much appericated.
TowerFan - glad you like it i may try all 3 poses and then decide which 1 to go for after, seeing as we have until Feb i should have enough time to do all 3 - then pick a favourite. Fallenswordsman - hehe yeh i was pretty quick with that head so far, everything seemed to be goin right only took bout 25 mins or so for the modelling - thats quick for me still needs alot of work thou. More progress to come....when ive done somemore  |

haha HEY mark cheers im amazed everyone likes it so far.
Cant let the modelling let me down now. ill try my best. The thought behind it was, firstly i wanted to do something fun and humourous so i thought Dodgeball would be cool. Then i wanted to do an animal rather than another human figure for once and i wanted it to be a big animal so i thought of elephants, hippos and rhinos. kinda thought these big animals would be more funny playing dodgeball as they are big and slow so really have no chance of actually dodging the ball and when i drew up a rhino from some reference he just looked dumb and i liked it. |

Personally I think the ears look a bit on the large side. [Was always under the impression that Rhinos have comically small ears for the size of their head]... apart from that though, can't crit anything else...

yeh i also thought the same mark, when the model is jus polygons (before subpatched) the ears looked way too big but when smoothed they shrink a little but mayb still too big. i have shrunk them down a little now and attached them to the head. but on sum rhino pics i saw this 1 rhino had huge ears - duno if it was a different kinda rhino or not but ill post image later. thanks neways.
