Default Lightwave 8.5 released!

From the official Newtek Newsletter:

Major updates
===========
LightWave [8] version 8.5 has completed thorough beta testing, and is stable.
Within LightWave [8] version 8.5, there are some major updates and numerous
fixes as well.

Major updates are:
* GLSL Hardware Shader for better OpenGL preview (Layout)
* Improved Particle Dynamics (Layout)
* New MultiShift tool (Modeler)
* Better model import with the Parts to Surfaces function (Modeler)
* 78 new Hotkey selections (Layout and Modeler)

Update info can be read here:

http://www.newtek-europe.com/uk/supp...date_info.html

No real mention of 64bit support on the main page as far as I can see though....

From what I can gather, 8.5 and 8.5 64-bit are two separate updates, 8.5 is free and 8.5 64-bit costs you something silly like 30 bucks or so, just wish I had a 64-bit system to run it on!! :headbang:

The 30 bucks is for exchanging the parallel dongle to a USB. The 64bit version only works on the USB dongle. Both LW850(win32) and LW850(64bit) are both free to download from the registry download page.
