I've been trying to get a backlit fog light kind of effect that I've seen around and am having a little trouble getting the look that I want. I'm going for the kind of look that Draven got on his Transformers poster in this thread: http://forum.simplylightwave.com/sho...s=&threadid=89
Is it environment fog, volumetric lights, both? Any 'light' you could shed on this would be great. Thanks! |

You want the light streaming like the picture I posted below? This is just one spotlight with volumetrics turned on. No ambient light. Make sure you turn on Raytrace shadows on the render options.
There is a tutorial at http://www.jupiterstudio.com/home/VLaser.html that kind of deals with this. It is geared towards LW6 but should work with 7.5 Last edited by Cchristensen; 24-04-2011 at 05:01 AM. |
