Default Wolf

Hello everybody. It's my first picture made with Lightwave 3d 8. I buy the software in august. I do this just for learning. A simple wolf with no rigging. I use the technique of the box modeling. The fur is just a painting. I use the radiosity for the render.

First off, let me be the first to say Welcome to SimplyLightwave.

For a first effort, that's a mighty fine looking wolf. I'd be tempted to have a crack at adding some SasLite fur onto the model as a next step in adding to the realism, and also maybe take a second look at the eye - maybe texture it with an actual wolf's eye texture.

Still, as I mentioned, sterling stuff for a first image.

I second Mark's comments. Excellent first work.

Wow! pretty good for a first model, good shot at surfacing aswell!!! My first was a whole bunch of boxes mushed together to look like a human (turned out to be morphed, mutated and deformed) lol.
