Very very nice, but why didn't you angle the flaps on the trailing edge of the wing to make the in line with the body and wind?

Beautiful as ever. I agree with Leovenous however that the flaps do look a little odd not being in line with the craft itself - especially when the elevators on the tail are square.

I'm assuming that you've modelled the panel lines in there then Craig. I'm curious - how did you go about adding them into the model - simply knifing along the panels or manually splitting polys or what?

Yep, I did indeed. All I did was to make some boxes (mostly) laid out to form the latticework of panel lines (and a couple of tubular ones also for the rounded panels). The stencilled them in to the model assigning a temporary surface name. I then selected all those polys, and placed them in a seperate layer. As I had made all the panel lines to be a uniform width, I then vertibevelled in & down by HALF of that width (subsequently deleting the polys that remained selected).
Then it's a matter of cleaning up, welding all the points at the bottoms of the panel lines created, and other misc errors created by LW's sometimes disastrous boolean & stencil abilities!). Hope that makes sense! ![]() Cheers!
