Is there a tool that will convert polygons to quads?
Also, si there any easy way to make a circular base out of a bunch of vertices? I keep adding quads but when you have a base of 200 or so vertices it gets tedious.

Cman has a poly subdivide script that will 'split multi-point polygons into 4-point polygons, and possibly one(1) 3-point polygon.'
PolySubDivide: http://www.m2estudios.com/Subdivide.htm For your second question, you can make one big circular poly, and then apply the PolySubDivide script. Or you can try Faulknermano's PerspicaciousQuads script... It 'will create polygons by selecting points and running the script. The great thing is, you can select the points in any order (rather than clock or counter-clockwise). Works on polys greater than quads but is not as reliable.' http://thespread.ghostoutpost.com/
