Default animating a raft in the ocean

I am trying to add a raft to philips stormy ocean tutorial but cant figure out an easy way to make it appear to float on the surface. Is there any other way to do it other than edit its position and rotation every few frames?

Hmm,,, i wont go with MD just as yet...Hmm i might just go manual with it,,, if its a short one,,, or if you are doing it like long then might try a plugin... hmm remember ripple... but dont remember the link. I will check and see where it is..

But using a spline and then animation like a path will be better...

I'd add a null and parent it to the ocean's mesh movement, then parent the raft to it? Thats how I done it for my raft on the ocean! I used it for a church presentation. It works ok, my raft sunk though and I used morph maps for it just... I've not played with MD much.
